Music Theatre of Wichita enjoys an outstanding international reputation
for artistic excellence, and for treatment of its artists. An excellent
place for young professionals to hone their skills and make valuable
connections, MTW boasts alumni in almost every Broadway musical
and National Tour currently running. Music Theatre of Wichita is
now preparing five lavish productions for our 37th
Summer Season,
each of which will be rehearsed for approximately two weeks and
then given seven or eight performances in the Century II Concert
Hall in downtown Wichita. The season finale Les Miserables will be given a slightly longer rehearsal and performance period.
The casts will include Equity and non-Equity performers,
selected from auditions held all over the country. Some non-Equity performers
will be hired for four or five of the shows, and certain featured and
leading roles will be cast from within this ensemble. Other leading
roles will be performed by Guest Artists from Broadway and Hollywood.
We do participate in the Equity Membership Candidacy Program.
